Decisions about how many GA/TA positions will be offered and the hours of these jobs are not identified by the different departments until prior to the beginning of the term or during the first week of the term. The union encourages Unit 3 members to keep checking the different departmental postings at least once a week for ten (10) weeks leading up to classes commencing once classes begin each semester and several weeks subsequent to classes beginning. Each department is required to post GA/TA positions for five (5) working days in the weeks leading up to classes commencing and in the first week of the term. Each position vacancy that is posted subsequent to the first week of the semester is required to be posted for three (3) working days.
