UNIT 3 HEALTH BENEFIT FUND (HBF)

Effective September 1, 2024, funds are based on academic year (no longer based on calendar year) i.e., Members are eligible to apply once per academic year.  

Eligibility: Unit 3 Lab Monitors, Graduate Assistants, and Teaching Assistants with at least one contract in Fall 2024, Winter 2025 and/or Spring/Summer term(s).

Reminder:  The deadline to submit a claim for the 2024/2025 academic year is August 15, 2025; there no exceptions!!! 

• Claim process for the 2024 / 2025 academic year is available from October 1, 2024 to August 15, 2025
• Funds are available on a first-come-first-served basis; submit your claims early
• Maximum of $700 per academic year & Maximum of 1 claim per academic year
• All receipts must be dated from August 16, 2024 to August 15, 2025 (inclusive)
• Incomplete claims will be denied; click here to review a list of eligible expenses

Please note for the 2025/2026 academic year (Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring/Summer 2026) the claim process will change; it will be similar to the Unit 3 General Assistance Fund (GAF) claim process.
