How do I find out how many seniority points I have?
The department in which you GA/TA’ed keeps track of Unit 3 seniority for each of the GA/TAs it employs. To find out your Unit 3 seniority points, contact the Department Assistant for the department in which you have GA/TA’ed.
When are TA/GA positions posted?
Decisions about how many GA/TA positions will be offered and the hours of these jobs are not identified by the different departments until prior to the beginning of the term or during the first week of the term. The union encourages Unit 3 members to keep checking the different departmental postings at least once a week for ten (10) weeks leading up to classes commencing once classes begin each semester and several weeks subsequent to classes beginning.
